Cyberpunk-Inspired City WIP

Just a quick attempt to mock up a quasi-cyberpunk/Blade Runner/City 18-ish cityscape, which I plan to continue iterating on with progressively finer detail in the future. I'd love to have a ton of tiny, neon trees dotting the open areas of the cityscape to really hammer home the scale of the scene. A big focus for me in this project is a static frame - I want to fully realize everything seen through this specific angle before I get too big for my britches and throw animation in here and complicate everything immensely. Also, that white square in the row of ads is literally just vacant for now - couldn't find a graphic in time. C'est la vie.

Not a ton to say about this just yet - but if you glance at the (incomplete) column of advertisements, I threw in a couple ads from the IBIS pitch deck. Is it a shared universe with my other projects or just convenience? I'll never tell...

Process Shot #1 - This was the state of the build when I just started adding lighting but was still actively blocking out the elements of the scene.

Process Shot #2 - Here I've added a lot of the more "final" lighting in the commercial areas and the neon signs, but I was still unhappy with the HDRI I chose - not dark enough.
